Yoga Classes for Adults
Yoga teachings of Bihar School of Yoga, Satyananda Yoga use practices in a traditional way, asanas (poses) to balance the body and mind through the physical body, pranayama (using the breath, expansion of life force) to work on the energy body (equated with Ki or Chi in other systems), Pratyahara practices such as shavasana, yoga nidra and meditation to calm and focus the mind. Tensions, toxins, impurities can be removed with these practices. It also takes a broader outlook by teaching and encouraging yogic lifestyles, not only for renunciates but also for those living in society and lay practitioners.
All class times are Central time, USA.
Classes available ONLINE:
Classes for beginners and intermediate level also for those with off and on experience looking to go deeper, to experience Bihar School of Yoga practices and classes taught by teachers with Bihar School of Yoga and Satyananda Yoga certifications.
Saturdays 9 a.m.
For those with some experience of yoga, teaching basics of yoga and going deeper.
Tuesdays 7 p.m.
Yoga basics and wish to go further, deeper.
Thursdays 7:30 a.m.
Learning basics of yoga and wishing to go deeper.
Fridays 10 a.m.
Gentle yoga class for those with some experience of yoga.
All classes have asana (poses), pranayama (using the breath), yoga nidra (pratyahara), concentration techniques (dharana), meditation techniques (dhyana).
